This is a tradition of Moi tribe in the City and Sorong Regency. The Province of West Papua.

ethnicities, race and languages differences from the Eastern to the Western

cultures in each tribe.

consist of old people called Indigenous elders.
Moi tribe had one institutions are INSTITUTE OF INDIGENOUS
MALAMOI (LMA-MALAMOI). In these institutions have the complete structure
consisting of the Chairman, and the composition of the next fields. Surely in
these institutions centered on the work activity and preserve the culture and
preserve Indigenous Moi tribe itself in the city and Sorong Regency. Moi tribe,
has an important role also in providing contribution and be the ultimate target
for follow shared decision in the development of cities and counties both of governments.
Moi tribe also has regional languages they called (LIGIN MOI), which means the Moi language. Moi language is always used of communication
among Moi people, but it is possible for anyone to be able to learn Moi
Language. Consist this concept of cultural, thought to be sustained for
generations of Moi children to feel they have their culture as the completeness
of their identity. Moi language has been written by Dr.Stepanus Malak, M.Si,
Regent of Sorong. Mr. malak, has written about moi dictionary language support some
other books that would tell how’s social life day of moi tribe and general
knowledge about the culture of Papua thoroughly.
I think that culture is very important for us. We must keep maintain
and preserve our culture as a responsibility.
